HARGEISA— A high level delegates from Uganda on Wednesday begins an officials working visit to Somaliland’s capital. The mission was highlighted by a private meeting with the president of Somaliland, Musa Bihi Abdi, at his presidential mansion.
This is the first visit embarked to Somaliland by Ugandan parliamentarians and government officials ever since its inception in the 1990’s. The current minister for foreign affairs, Dr. Sa’ad Ali Shire briefed the media on the topics discussed during the meeting between the president and Ugandan delegates. This is the beginning of establishing a bilateral relations between the two countries said the foreign minister as the president has welcomed the delegation to Somaliland. Dr. Said revealed that this is a fact finding delegation from Uganda which will further know the real situation on the ground.
